Embracing Everyone

This Erasmus+ project focuses on the problem of social exclusion (in terms of a lack of basic skills). In order to reach this goal of inclusion we will practice new strategies and methods of teaching cooperatively and inclusively at schools and during leisure time activities. Every partner will apply one of these methods in their school environment, observe and evaluate the outcomes. During the meeting these outcomes will be discussed by all partners and will be transferred to one another. By the end of the project time, 5 strategies will have been applied and evaluated.
During the project different activities will be done by all the partners.

Final Transnational Meeting

June 2018 brought the last meeting of the Embracing Everyone project. The coordinators from each country and another member of staff met in Kirkbymoorside, England, where it all began back in November 2016.

Time was spent in school, visiting classes, talking to the children and observing lots of music and singing! In the photograph above, the children are carrying out traditional May Pole dancing which the Erasmus teachers participated in!

We collated our results and discussed the impact of our project.

The Erasmus partners took part in an Autism workshop, presented by a specialist in communication and language difficulties.

We also celebrated our time together and the success of our project!

We had a fantastic, but tiring week!

  1. The Erasmus + Embracing Everyone project has enriched me both as a person and as a teacher because it has given me the opportunity to practice innovative strategies: Collaborative Learning, Peer Tutoring, Team Teaching and Personalization that I will apply in my school.
I learned how to work with children with communication difficulties and how early children with autism can be traced from the teachers from Kirkbymoorside C.P.School (teacher for children with special needs , Veronica Cruise).
I have identified differences and similarities between European and Romanian education systems. We have experienced live linguistic diversity during the mobilities and got to know the culture, history, gastronomy and civilization of our partner countries.

  2. For me, it was an unique experience and a great pleasure having the opportunity to meet everyone involved in the project alltogether. It was a significant moment for EMBRACING EVERYONE, because it was the final evaluation of our whole work. My conclusion was that this project had a huge impact on teachers, students and parents alike.
I’ve learned a lot of useful things watching closely the material presented by Veronica Cruise, related to the fears and difficulties of children with special needs, which proved to be very useful for everyone. She offered us not only the theoretical support, but also some very practical techniques regarding this field.
I’d like to point out another very significant aspect of the British education: the huge importance given to outdoor activities, which is real movement in fresh air.
